Geo Coat
The Geo Coat is created with up cycled fabric from Fab Scrap, an organization in Brooklyn that recycles materials from the fashion industry. Volunteering for 3 hours, I was able to take 5 lbs. of fabric. The stuffing inside the coat is the scrap remnants from the outside camouflage pieces, making it zero waste. |

MAXXI Collection: Focusing on the exploration of the interaction between architectural silhouettes and the organic body, I combined unique shapes and the stark contrast of value to create a blended and cohesive mix of the hard and soft. I am influenced by the modern architecture found in works by architects such as Frank Gehry and Zaha Hadid. Thinking three dimensionally about my garments, I wanted to expand beyond just fabric and the standard techniques, introducing foam boards and string. I incorporated structure and stability, like buildings, but also keeping natural curves, a continuous flow.
Nuances of New York: a visual presentation of a collection inspired by the city. Created at Parsons Pre-college Program.
